The wunderful countryside of the Brixen valley, with its idyllic small side valleys, is enjoyable in many ways. Well prepared cross country trails and winter walking paths take your through the valley and join seamlessly with the network of trails in the neighbouring regions in the Kitzbühel Alps. There is a cicular 4,5 km long high cross country trail in Hochbrixen at an altitude of 1 300m above sea level, as well as a cross country trail network in Aschau both of wich allow cross country skiing into spring time.

|Cross country trails in Brixen||9 km, of easy to middle difficluty, Start: Stöcklfeld - Ski slope, You travel over the field until you reach Brixen and return. From Brixen and retourn. From Brixen you have the possibility of continuing on to Westendorf.|
|Cross country trails to Aschau||ca. 6 km, easy to middle difficulty, Start Cafe Hochland Aschau, This cross country trail is very snow sure. The start and finish can be found at Café Hochland in Aschau . The route takes yout then to Zwieselbauer-Ebenau-Oberland hut and in al loop back to Café Hochland.|
Cross country trail connections to Kitzbühel - Reith
Sunny track - easy circular route about 12 km with a connection to 2. Bichlach trail - fork in Reith at the foot of the Rummelsberges, circa 9 km, for fit cross country skiers - connection the cross country trail in Oberndorf, St. Johann, Going
a) Direction Reith
1. Sunny track - easy circular route of circa 12 km - cross the brigde on the golf course then continue on the drag lift in Reith and then retourn.
b) Direction Kitzbühel
circa 4 km to the Schwarzsee - here you have the chance to join the Schwarzsee trail (3km) or the lake trail (1,6 km)
